Announcement from JSCO

Dear Delegates of ACOS,

 It is our great honor to announce that the 51st Annual Meeting of the Japan Society of Clinical Oncology (JSCO2013) will be held from October 24(Thu) through 26(Sat), 2013, in Kyoto.

 We encourage young participants who are active in health and medical fields in Asian countries to submit original papers to share the latest topics in the field of oncology. Please kindly be informed of the following; and your kind cooperation and consideration will be very much appreciated.

1. Annual Meeting Schedule

JSCO2013 is scheduled as follows:

2. Abstract submission (Oral / Poster presentation)

Abstracts are accepted online only. Submissions by e-mail will NOT be considered.

Period of Abstract Submission: March 6(Wed) - May 8(Wed), 2013

Notification of the decision: Abstracts will be selected by the 51JSCO scientific program committee. Results will be notified to the first-author by e-mail in mid July, 2013. Accepted abstracts will be published and distributed in the Abstracts Book of the JSCO2013.

3. Travel grant

Travel grant will be given at this annual meeting. Please confirm the following eligibility requirements:

-The applicant has to 1) be the first author of the accepted abstract.2) holds a membership in their country's national (or equivalent) medical association. 3) be under the age of 40, and currently active in health and medical fields in any Asian country except Japan.4) be prepared to present a letter of reference from his/her country's association.5) attend the banquet as well as the designated session(s) held during the annual meeting.

-The work described in the abstract should not have been presented or published before the annual meeting.

-Each awardee will receive 40,000 Japanese yen after his/her presentation. Awardees are asked to bring a photo ID including citizenship information, as it will be confirmed upon receipt of the award. Accommodation fee during the annual meeting and registration fee will also be waived.

-At the end of online abstract submission form, check the box "I apply for travel grant". Please read the instruction thoroughly before submission.

-It is the applicant's responsibility to obtain necessary documents including a visa required for entering Japan (if necessary).
