The 7th Kobayashi Foundation Award
Guidelines for Applicants

Please find two different application guidelines and forms. One is for the researchers (Part 1), and another is for the healthcare professionals or medical teams (Part 2), who contribute to the development of medical care and society in your own country.

Part 1：Award for the Researchers

Objective

The Kobayashi Foundation Award will be given to a researcher who created distinguished research and remarkable contributions and/or developments and achievements for oncology or cancer chemotherapy in his or her own country, other than Japan.

Fill out the form in English, with reasons for recommendation from your institutional leader. One application should be submitted from one institute.

Application Period

From January 11th to February 28th　(by 5pm JST), 2022

Selection Process

One or two award winners will be selected by members of the selection committee composed of oncology and cancer chemotherapy experts of Kobayashi Foundation.

Award

One or two researchers selected from all applicants who created distinguished research achievements in the field of oncology and cancer chemotherapy in applicant's country can obtain the award with the prize money of 500,000 Japanese yen.

Result Announcement

The result will be announced on the websites of Kobayashi Foundation. Also the result will be given to the applicants individually.

Part2：Award for the healthcare professionals or medical teams

Objective

The Kobayashi Foundation Award will be given to one to three healthcare professionals or medical teams (e.g. medical doctors, nurses, pharmacists, medical educators, etc.) who made remarkable contributions and/or developments and achievements for cancer chemotherapy in his or her own country other than Japan. Applicant (representative person) must be ages 50 years old and under as of February 28, 2022.
